ENVIRONMENTAL &  SUSTAINABILITY  POLICY

At Kría Adventures, we are committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability across all the destinations where we operate. We recognize the profound impact of tourism on the natural world, local communities, and economies, and we are dedicated to ensuring that our operations are sustainable, responsible, and create a positive legacy for future generations.

Our Commitments:

  1. Sustainable and Responsible Tourism: We offer sustainable tourism experiences that respect the environment and local communities. We aim to educate and engage our guests on the importance of preserving the natural and cultural beauty of Iceland and the places we visit.

  2. Environmental Compliance: We comply with all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and best practices in the regions where we operate. We stay informed about developments in environmental conservation and integrate them into our operations.

  3. Resource Efficiency and Carbon Reduction: We work to minimize waste and reduce the consumption of resources such as water, energy, and fuel. We implement practices to reduce our carbon footprint and continually look for ways to operate more efficiently.

  4. Waste Reduction and Circular Practices: We actively reduce, reuse, and recycle materials wherever possible and work to eliminate single-use plastics in our operations. We encourage guests and partners to participate in responsible waste management.

  5. Biodiversity and Habitat Protection: We take measures to protect local ecosystems and wildlife, especially in sensitive areas, by following established guidelines and best practices for responsible wilderness travel.

  6. Cultural Respect and Community Support: We respect the cultural heritage of all the places we visit and work with local communities in ways that provide meaningful economic and social benefits, while helping preserve traditions and cultural sites.

  7. Education and Guest Engagement: We educate our guests and staff about the natural environments and cultural heritage of the places we explore, the challenges they face, and the steps we can all take to minimize environmental and social impacts.

  8. Economic Sustainability: We support local economies by working with local guides, accommodations, and suppliers. We are committed to fair employment practices, fostering local entrepreneurship, and strengthening the resilience of the travel sector.

  9. Continuous Improvement and Accountability: We regularly review and improve our environmental and sustainability performance, setting clear goals and tracking progress. We welcome feedback from guests, staff, partners, and local communities to ensure accountability and drive improvement.

  • Management is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing the environmental and sustainability policy.
