Welcome to Kría Adventures journal

Hi, my name is Orri and I'm the owner and founder of Kría Adventures. Born and raised in the countryside of Iceland, I've always had very strong connections to nature and the outdoors. I have been working in the travel industry since 2010, where I've mostly been working for some of the best travel companies in the world, leading groups of people all throughout Iceland, along with Greenland, Norway and the Alps. I have always been focused on hiking and outdoor trips which is where my deepest passion lies. Through my years of guiding I've gathered a lot of experience in leadership, group management, people and social skills, storytelling, and how to deal with bad weather situations, difficult terrain, unexpected scenarios and everything else that comes with taking people up to the mountains and out in nature where anything can happen.

It has always been a dream of mine, since I first started guiding, to start my own travel company. With all the experience I've gathered throughout the years, all the people I've met along the way and all the connections I've made, now seemed like a perfect time to take the leap and go all in with my own concept, ideas and passion. After more than a decade in the industry, I've learned very well what works and what doesn't, I've seen it all first hand. I know the country like the back of my hand and have ambitious plans on creating unique and exciting adventure trips for travelers deciding to come up here to the north. I aim to provide exceptional and professional service, while keeping things personal and that people really get the sense of feeling welcome while they travel with Kría Adventures.
